Emperia Holding Sp. z o.o. is the owner of the nationwide retail chain Stokrotka. It was founded in 1990 and has been actively shaping the history of retail in Poland for the past 28 years. Aside from Stokrotka, Emperia Group includes one subsidiaries focused on properties. Emperia Group employs over 9500 people.

Composition of Emperia Group:

Stokrotka Sp. z o.o. – a company operating a chain of FMCG stores in Poland branded Stokrotka. This is one of the largest retail chains on the Polish market. Stokrotka has doubled the number of its retail sites since 2013. In the current year, the company opened its 500th store. The chain is expected to expand by approximately 60 retail locations around the country by the end of 2018.

Stokrotka operates three store formats: proximity supermarkets (stores with area of 400-800 sqm located in large cities, mini shopping centres and galleries throughout the country), proximity markets (smaller stores with area of 200-400 sqm located in neighbourhoods or smaller towns and rural areas) and convenience stores with area of 100-200 sqm under the Stokrotka Express brand.

Stokrotka stores offer their clients between 4000 and 10000 assortment items, including groceries, cosmetics, household cleaning supplies, alcoholic beverages and fresh products: bread, meat, fruit and vegetables. Also offered are local products that are made in the regions in which the chain’s stores are located, as well as private label products.

In 2013, Stokrotka launched its own logistics network that ensures wide access for store customers to high-quality fresh products at attractive prices. The chain’s efficient and well-developed logistics network offers daily deliveries from two distribution centres: main centre in Teresin near Warsaw and a distribution centre in Lublin, opened at the beginning of 2016, along with 8 regional warehouses.

Elpro Development S.A. – a property company that develops its own facilities intended for retail operations, which are leased out to the Stokrotka retail chain and to external tenants. The company manages properties, acquires new locations and conducts property development activities. Elpro Development focuses on facilities in the form of standalone buildings for retail, mini shopping galleries and shopping parks. At the end of 2017, the company held 85 operating properties and 6 properties under construction.
